Lawn Aeration & Overseeding

At Go Green we are always looking for innovative services to ensure our customers experience the best possible results on their lawns. Recently we started testing a new service called “Liquid Aeration”. Liquid aeration is a relatively new process that can replace what is known as “Core Aeration”. Liquid aeration is a process using a mix of specially designed products that offer the same results without the mess of soil cores left on your lawn or potential damage to electric dog fences or irrigation heads. It also is easier to perform, less costly to you as a consumer, and fits especially well on lawns with limited access due to fences or elevation changes.

Liquid Lawn Aeration Vs. Core Aeration

Lawn Aeration

Lawn aeration is an essential part of maintaining and enhancing your lawn. Go Green recommends Liquid Aeration to be performed annually. Many golf courses perform aerations as many as 2 or 3 times each year.

The process helps to alleviate soil compaction and helps minimize thatch build-up. liquid aeration service loosens the soil and allows for improved air movement, water infiltration, and better utilization of the fertilizer and other products used by Go Green.

Benefits of Liquid aeration include:

  • Increased air, water, and nutrient movement to the root zone
  • Intensified decompositions of thatch
  • Decreased soil compaction
  • Improved soil structure
  • Increased stimulation of new grass growth
  • Improved drainage
  • Increased effectiveness of applied lawn fertilization and weed control products
  • Better prevention and control of turf diseases

Overseeding

We recommend seeding in the fall.

When we overseed your lawn, we can help to fill in the bare spots and thin areas with a grass type that is better suited to your lawn and more resistant to common insects and diseases. Because the seed we use blends in well with common Michigan turf grasses and is spread throughout the lawn, this service can provide a more uniform-looking lawn as well.

Benefits of overseeding include:

Liquid Lawn Aeration and Overseeding

Combining these two incredibly beneficial services gives you all the benefits of both services, AND MAKES OVERSEEDING MORE EFFECTIVE. The openings left by liquid aeration mean better seed-to-soil contact, which means a higher germination rate and the thicker, healthier lawn you’ve been dreaming of. These services are often done together in the fall for optimal results. Our trained professionals can always answer your questions about aeration and overseeding.
